Matilda Meets Some Mates

Today we went over to Goathland in the North York Moors for a Heartbeat themed classic car rally in aid of the North Yorkshire Air Ambulance. It was a bit damp...

Many of the buildings in Goathland were used for the filming of the TV series Heartbeat which was based on books about a North Yorkshire police constable in the 1960's. In the series the village was called Aidensfield and was filmed between 1992 and 2010.

I have added two collages of the event. The little grey mini in the extra one was used as a police van in the TV programme. The queue outside the store was to meet a couple of the actors who appeared also.
