End of the Tour

We were up and away sharpish from Aberdeen, in part to get off before the Tour kicked off.

The cycling Tour of Britain had it's 8th and final stage today from Stonehaven to Aberdeen.   It's the first time the Tour has been this far north and the Stonehaven community were getting into the spirit of the event.

We had a stop off at Glamis Castle, near Forfar, on the way back to Edinburgh.   It was the childhome of the Queen Mother and it's famed for it's Shakespearean connection via Macbeth.

We arrived home late afternoon having had a very nice few days away.
