The sea

I've put all our trip on blip today so if you want to start at the beginning click here

Day 6. Boat o'Brig to Spey Bay. 11.5 miles.
Misty and a bit cooler.
Very minor road (grass down the middle) to Fochabers with short detour for a view over the river (extra). There's an interesting geological feature of earth pillas here but they were scarcely visible through the trees.
Cuppa in Fochabers
Forest and field tracks and trails, much easier on the feet
Big viaduct (ex-railway) on a detour which gave good views of the Spey shingle banks and a geography lesson (extra).
The tide was in so not much shingle to walk over to get our feet in the sea.
Tea and cheese scones in the cafe then back home and a bottle of fizz to celebrate.
