Glut

I’ve filled one five gallon bucket with plums and am working on a second. The missing eighth hen turns out to be brooding under a plum tree.

The cucumber glut continues. I core, peel and cube some large fruit and salt them in preparation for relish. There are another forty at least, many of which will probably end up on the compost heap.

And then it’s time to make sausages. This time it’s spicy paprika flavour. Accompanied by mashed potato and baked courgettes.
