Thatch cottage

Day started with a fire alarm at 7.15am, due to cooking being undertaken in one of the 4 apartment. After a lazy breakfast we headed out towards pickering, we stopped in Thornton-,le-Dale where this picture was taken.  It then started to drizzle and from this time forward it continued to rain. We then headed over to Goathland were we had our lunch and a walk around the heartbeat village.  We heard the train and ran to the station to just see the back of the steam train.  We had a 45 minute wait for the next train coming from pickering.  The worst happened and my camera slipped off my lap whilst sorting out lenses, what a bang, but luckily it's still working, it landed straight onto the lense hood which appears to have saved it.  A drive back over the Moor on a roman road to join up with the main road to Whitby.

Weather is forecast to be better tomorrow so plan in to go to Whitby.
