Autumn Welcome

Sunny and very hot and humid all day. Did not get to sleep until after 2:00 am- no idea why, we just lost track of the time. So, I was still in bed at 8:30 am. Spent the day packing, baking, and checking off our to do list. Tried to stay inside as much as possible since it was very uncomfortable outdoors. Poor hubby had to cut our grass. He narrowly avoided an accident when the tractor slid down the hill and stopped right before hitting the metal culvert. Yikes. I think we are almost ready for our next R and R. Hubby waits all year to attend this bluegrass festival. And I always enjoy being on the ridge. Good news: we were able to book a site at that Eastern Va. campground but we cannot stay on the weekend dates. That’s fine. We have tons of budding asters in three different gardens. I sure hope they will still be blooming when we get back. Such dainty little blooms. Thanks for the visit. No idea how good our reception will be in WV. Will try to stay in touch. “The lands are lit with all the autumn blaze of golden-rod, and everywhere the purple asters nod and bend and wave and flit.” -
