Mimi didn't waste any time perusing the book I brought back for her from the Repair Factory. 
It was worth breaking my back lugging the heavy tome back in my cycling bag. 
I got her to weigh my bag when I got back home. 
I said that it was heavy because I had something for her. Her face lit up.
I told her it was a book I had for her. Her face really lit up. 
I extracted the 2,200 page Paediatrics from my bag with great difficulty and she beamed. 
The thing cost no less than £18 punts back when it was published, in 1972. No expenses spared for my little girl. That's roughly €255 in today's money. And I can't imagine that paediatrics have changed that much. Kids haven't...
