Day 3 - Herriot Way - Keld to Reeth

Mileage - approx. 12 miles

We had a choice of two routes today and opted for the slightly longer lower route. This photo was taken at the start as we walked back down into Keld from our accommodation. 

We passed through the village of Gunnerside were we had a quick stop at the pub for much needed liquid refreshment (non-alcoholic!). We were now in Swaledale, where we passed the famous barns, or rather cow houses, that litter the hay meadows.

Our B & B was on the green at Reeth, with our evening meal venue a few steps away. We went a bit posh and had food in the restaurant at the Burgoyne.  Again, both were excellent.
