Silly Cow

This calf was born during the night and by morning was on the wrong side of the fence from its mother. Not the best parenting. Too bad it's not Silly Saturday.
Fortunately it was fairly easy to run the calf along the fence to the gate and the cow followed.
The timing was good as its older brother, who incidentally was born 12 months ago tomorrow, is one of those we sold today. 
That necessitated getting up at sparrows (7:30am) to yard them ready for transport. 
It wasn't such a bad thing as we got a bit more done than usual, including a pile burn and cooking up two lots of meat I found at the back of the freezer.
