Anything but oap…

This bebadged oap is an artist, building crazy looking aeroplane bikes in his garden - peddelable junk sculptures, all sorts of wonderful art made from bits and pieces. He is in his mid 80’s we think, yet still going strong, swimming in the sea, cycling, opening an exhibition of his work tomorrow. In the 50’s he was a fighter jet pilot… and on leaving the service, a commercial pilot. His badges reminded me of an early self portrait by Peter Blake.
