Going To Sleep

I think these might be the remains of Oxyeyes. What drew my attention was the gesture of the decaying petals, as though the flower was covering its eyes before going to sleep. The association with the time of year also struck me.

In keeping with that sentiment, I processed the image in a subdued way with less luminosity and saturation than I might otherwise. I like all the detail and texture.

I think the red dot might be a ladybird. They usually show up about now.
