Moving On!

Last day in Sutton after our luxury camping experience with heated floors. To begin with we woke to the coldest morning so far and were able to try out the van heating which soon warmed us up in time for breakfast. Before leaving we had arranged to walk through Sutton Park to Bracebridge where there was reputed to be an excellent restaurant to enjoy a lunch with Sam, Deb and Paul. There was some confusion as to the best way to get there and the walk back seemed only to take half the time but the meal was excellent and some good humoured banter made it a very enjoyable experience - we did manage to do 13,000 steps for our trouble according to the spying iPhone app - so we felt suitably self-righteous. This one of the group responding to my request to spread out taken literally! Pleasant enough journey to Shallow Grange farm in the Peak District where we settled in for the night after some shenanigans acquiring water for the van and sat outside with the table attached for the first time - see extra. Electricity was strictly rationed here so time to try the heating powered by the gas - which proved to be very effective. The Peak District is a particularly beautiful example of British countryside and so look forward to enjoying that tomorrow. For now it is time to sleep!
