Old Fence, No Fence, New Fence

The fence we share with our neighbors has needed replacing for a couple of years. Today was the day.

My neighbor's dad came to help us, and he brought his tractor along. (It worked great for taking out the old posts, and several large stumps.)

We worked for almost 7 hours, and I am feeling every one of my 68 years. Plus, the first section of fence I moved...I was backing up and tripped over my rock pile. Luckily, it was was one those "slow motion" falls, and I was unhurt.

After the concrete sets, we will lop off the top of the fence posts.

Since the fence lasted for at least 31 years, I don't think I'll be around when it needs to be replaced again. ;0)...;0(
