Dance On

Leeds Dance Open Day today so l took myself off to the city.
Lots to choose from and all events were free, though you had to pre book tickets because of social distancing.
First l did a Dance On class for an hour.
Not quite sure how to describe it but it was very liberating and upbeat.
Ten in the studio so very comfortable.

Had made myself a packed lunch so l ate that in The Yorkshire Dance Centre while watching film presentations on the dance opportunities in the city.

Then went round to The Yorkshire Playhouse for a backstage tour, really enjoyed it and was amazed at the myriad of corridors and rooms behind the scenes, especially enjoyed the costume department. The staff were so keen to tell us about the cleaning and precautions they are taking to get audiences more confident to attend live performances again.
I’m not ready yet.

Then back to another studio to do a ballet class, with eight in that session , really good, so good l was really interested in joining that class on a more permanent basis but they only do lessons late evening, so that’s not for me.

When l was twixt events l took this blip of the new Leeds Conservatoire: a good addition to the city and it fits in well in the arts quarter.

Home now and l’ve a few portions of beef casserole in the slow cooker.
Some to freeze and some to eat right now after watching the preview of the Chelsea Flower Show on TV.
