Harvest

Sorry to bore you but this was an exceptional year. As we will be leaving for Germany in 12 days, we had to get all the apples from the trees. Otherwise the bears will climb into the trees and destroy them. They are just too heavy…
I gave away two Trader Joe’s shopping bags full to the food share, two more
will go there tomorrow, two were handed over to neighbors here and as you can see from the picture, I have stored at least 300 in six layers in the garage where they will slowly continue to ripen and wait for us when we come back. Then we will still have more than enough for pies, applesauce and apple juice.
