In for a penny, out with a pound....

Recent changes to the UK historic weights and  measures act i felt this image i took back in August 2004 is quite apt. I believe the chap is no longer trading in Welwyn.
Notice the salmons jubilation?


Fishmonger from Welwyn, Herts, poses proudly defiant with his salmon and a penny in 2004, against the imposed European measures act, he found and exploited a loophole that if you are a private members club, with paying members, you can use what measures act you like, he charged customers one penny to become members so they could be sold fish in pounds and ounces.
