Winter Plumage

I have not seen a Tystie (Black Guillemot) in breeding plumage for a few weeks now but there are good numbers in and around the coast which is reassuring given the numbers of dead seabirds around eastern shores of the country these past few weeks. 

Tysties which are the symbol of the Shetland Bird Club ( in their breeding plumage ) sometimes decide to have a rest in the sun on the  pier (extra)
