Herdwick

You can’t come to the Lakes without seeing a Herdwick sheep. This one was one of a flock in a field on the outskirts of Keswick. All the time I was there, this one never lifted it’s head from the grass.  We started with breakfast at the Lingholm estate, where we spotted some of their alpacas. See extra1 .We  had planned to move onto Buttermere but it was unbelievably busy so we didn’t stay.  We headed to Cockermouth where we spent an enjoyable hours or two. We returned via Bassenthwaite Lake.  Extra 2 is a panoramic view of the lake.
