A strange pond at Hare Hill, near Alderley Edge

On our way home we visited another National Trust site, the gardens at Hare Hall, comprising a woodland garden and a walled garden It was a delightful visit, quiet and peaceful, helped by the fact that we were the first visitors of the day (at 10.30am when it opened) This pond looks like it has been populated by a vigorous variety of algae
