The Old Forge (Sunday 13th April 1997)

My first photographs of 1997 were taken in the garden to commemorate the flowering of my snake's head fritillary for the second year, the sole survivor of three bought and planted in September 1995. Nothing can compare with seeing them growing wild in profusion as at Cricklade, but having one in my own garden was quite exciting.
