Got out of the apartment for a walk. Been spending too much time playing Far Cry 5. Was working on a new DJ mix and decided to focus on a genre I’m aware of but not familiar with, Miami Bass. I’ve always put some songs on rotation but never focused on it. It’s a wicked sound and definitely bumping. Watched some online documentaries to get the feel and understanding then took a deep dive into the big hits.

I didn’t realise how many songs I already liked that were part of the genre. Although the lyrics for some of the big hits are very obscene, the beat and feel are great to dance to.
