Life through the lens...

Last Day.

What a beautiful start to our last day in. Cornwall.
Not what was forecast.
Down to Marazion before the hoards of tourists arrived.
I love this sculpture, but also because it is surrounded by several pots full of some of my favourite flowers, or rather succulents.
The wonderful almost black rosettes of Aeonum arboreum ‘ Zwartkop’.
A perfect photo as it is Flower Friday once again.
Coffee overlooking The Mount. Watching the little boats ferrying people over as the causeway was still covered.
Then as the tide went out we laughed as the first people attempted to cross.
Just couldn’t wait. The water was well above their knees as they reached the deepest part.
A few turned back!

Lunch was at the Peppercorn Cafe Perranuthnoe. Still warm and sunny.
Enjoyed a chicken and chorizo stew.

Back to the bungalow to start packing.
Glad we filled up with petrol yesterday.
Best way to start a panic is to tell people not to!

I then had a walk down to the next village. Past my great grandmother’s house, and past my mum and dad’s bungalow, which unfortunately still looks in need of some TLC.
The weather had turned to mizzle. However cleared up by the time I got back, and the sun is trying to get out again.

Have included a few extras of The Mount, and great grandmother’s house.
Despite set backs we will be sorry to leave tomorrow, but look forward to returning again next year.
