Kiri

Well, we made it to Cornwall. When we booked this holiday, never did I think that Kiri would still be with us, but here she is, enjoying the sofa! It's the only picture I took today to let the girls know we were here safely.

It was a long journey down, but we had several stops so that Kiri could stretch those old legs of hers.

There was a massive hold up on the opposite carriageway (luckily) to us on the way down. A 'stranded' vehicle caused a tailback of some 15-16 miles long when two lanes went down to one on the A30.

Kiri settled herself down on the sofa and we went down to the pub for our evening meal, it wasn't busy but they were fully booked because of staff shortages. It's a popular 'Surfer Dude' place, and usually very buzzy and busy, so sad to see it wasn't able to function fully. Luckily I had bought a meal deal when I stocked up in the local town's big supermarket on the way, so we didn't starve. And as we stayed for a couple of drinks it didn't really matter what we ate!

Lots of sea mist rolling in this evening, lets hope it clears tomorrow!. Not holding my breath though.
