Lambertville Towpath

Drove up to Lambertville, NJ, for a meet up with an artists group I belong to. It’s a picturesque little town and the members were painting and sketching but I decided to walk around with my camera.
There was still a lot of debris in the canal adjacent to the Delaware river from hurricane Ida and all the rain yesterday, and the water was still muddy, but the currents, calm.
I think this lock keeps the canal from overflowing it’s banks and sends water to the creek —the sound of water falling is so soothing.
