The Bluest Sky

We had an amazing day, like summer (only with less hours of sunshine) - 22 degrees and this deep blue sky. Just fabulous.

I would have loved to spend all of it in the garden - potting and pruning - as the forecast doesn’t look like we’re getting another sunny day any time soon.

Alas, all our neighbours also used the good weather to work in their gardens or on their patios. But nobody except for me seems to own old-fashioned tools that don’t require electricity  and thus don’t make a noise.

And so the beautiful day drowned in a chorus of lawnmowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, pressure  cleaners, hoovers and pond pumps.

Still, I potted and pruned for a few hours, used the quiet hours at noon for some reading in my comfy deck-chair, and finally moved the least hardy of our plants indoors, like the Indian curry tree in this blip.

They have all grown a lot this summer, and the living room suddenly seems quite small with three huge trees in it.
