Brian's Bits

By Kanyl

Foiled again.

Kitchen now all but finished.
One of the remaining jobs, from our point of view, and neglecting the walls and floor, is to cook the newness out of the cooker.
Can't say either of us relished the prospect tonight and you can get a wee bit brassed off living out of the old Michaelwave after best part of a week.

While in the shop, we were accustomed to eating in the local chippy (Brit terminology not Yank) on a Friday night, going shopping and then home, so we thought we'd fall back on that tried and tested system.

Not tested recently enough apparently.

Cobblers!
Jayne's only closed the sit down section and moved the carry out area pending refurbishment. Drat, drat and double drat.

Undaunted we had our, rapidly cooling, "Fish and chimps and mushy bees" with our friend Alf (Alf Resko), at one of the tables in the yard.

The up side to this was that I was able, for the first time in all those years, to appreciate the nature of the wall I'd walked past without properly seeing.
