New Subtenants

The new subtenants finally moved in!

The new home of the two "lovebirds" is the ceiling joist of my balcony.

Over the weekend the collared doves made a mess with all the twigs scattered all over the place, but it seems they now have settled down.
The photo shows one of them (male or female? I have no idea) sitting on the roof of one of my birdhouses.

They don't pay rent, but that's o.k. So far no bird poo to clean up... which I think is amazing. I wonder where their bathroom is.

No way you can compare these lovely birds to the city pigeons.
They are not shy at all; I can watch them as long as I like if I don't move too fast.
