Road trip

An early start for Elaine and I who decided on a 4 plus hour parkrun round trip on a day where there were media fuelled queues for fuel every where to meet up with Martin at East Brighton parkrun.

We arrived at 8 and parked up next to a vigorously rocking campervan on what, from the assortment of vehicles, furniture, people and dogs about, appeared to be an illegal encampment in the small carpark.

Fortunately it is a small parkrun and there was room for everyone. Unfortunately I didn't have as much energy as the occupiers of the van and jumped at the chance to tailwalk on what was a surprisingly damp grass course on terraced slopes.

The area was well used and there were several other exercise groups on the fields. The other volunteers were cheerful and we had lots of fun greeting the other parkrunners as they passed us.

An avocado, egg and mushroom naan in the cafe afterwards was a bonus before getting stuck in more queues as we headed home.

Interesting art in the cafe. Not sure that I'd want this one in my house.
