Late summer rose

I don’t think I’ve blipped a rose this year. This super, tightly packed multi headed specimen caught my eye as we were out this afternoon. It was this or a fuchsia or a vineyard.

Another warm day which started dull and overcast until this afternoon when the grey clouds lifted and the sun shone until it went to bed. It’s been a fabulous September in the South East.

A second relatively quiet day. A late brunch, mid day walk, some apple prep for dehydration and stewing and finally going up to Doreen’s to do a Sunday dinner. It’s much easier for us to go up to her place than to struggle to get her out and down to our place.

A chat with Chris in California is planned for later when things are all sorted at Doreen’s. And so, another week is on the brink…. I wonder what calamities we will have experienced when we get to the other side?

There was some interest in the Ivy Bee, here’s a link: https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife-explorer/invertebrates/bees-and-wasps/ivy-bee
