Calorwheel

This is an interesting item from an exhibition I went to see in a very small gallery in Twickenham today. All the exhibits were made by Sara Impey, a textile artist, who covers the textile surface with densely machine- stitched lettering. She originally trained as a journalist and writes her own material mixing visual, tactile and verbal elements to comment on social and personal issues. If you read this carefully as you go from the centre of the wheel to the outside it charts the problems we now have with our energy use and global warming, so very topical at present.
