Life in Newburgh on Ythan

Apples and pears galore

Yesterday it was "Apple Day" at Pitmedden Gardens. As you can see there were huge quantities of their home-grown apples and pears for sale.

Extra, Then on to the small village of Udny Green for a walk through the woods. The village church sitting on the edge of the green dates back to 1821 and replaces the ancient "Christ's Kirk" which was situated in the Udny Green graveyard. The church clock  was gifted in 1895 by Mrs Amy Udny of Udny castle, hence the rather enigmatic initials  A U on the clock face.
