Hyperion

Born Survivor!

A day of sunshine and heavy showers. Being on the moor in the rain again felt like a bit of a novelty. The winter thrushes have now returned to the moor, and in the rowan trees close to where this shot was taken, there were many redwings and fieldfares. I am always impressed with the resilience of this tree. Broken by lightening or wind, or both, it struggles on. It occupies part of a site that was once a farm, but was almost certainly occupied for hundreds, or possibly even thousands of years. I have never seen anyone here with paint brushes and paints, but am sure it would make a nice subject for a landscape painting.
