Guardian of the Stile

Back to the old routines, and old walks. So it was the Two Ridges walk with out the trip to the monument. It's now out of bounds as the sheep have been put to pasture up there. And due to some inconsiderate dog owners no one is allowed up there when the sheep are grazing. A couple of years ago several sheep were savaged and killed by dogs.

We were very pleased to see the four Aberdeen Angus cows on the Trentham Estate. Last week my other half said there were new cows on the block, so thought the Aberdeens had gone (you can imagine where....). But they've just been moved to a different part of the estate. Today they were guarding the stile, so had to be shooed away so that we could climb over.

Again, they're a really good black and white subject!
