A wild goose race

Geese have featured like this before on my blips but not in such great numbers perfectly posed on the edge ready for the off.

We visited the care home again today to see the room which has become available for Doreen. It’s a lovely room, light and sunny. The care home is wonderful a family run place which is not part of a care chain.

All being well she will move in on 11th October after the room has been redecorated and a new carpet fitted. There’s a lovely feeling about the place, caring staff, plenty going on. They don’t have to advertise or have a website, everyone comes by recommendation.

Plenty of work to do between now and then and in the weeks that follow as we get her house ready for letting as soon as possible to help pay the fees, which although are high are less than the other two places we’ve visited.

Some very productive faffing this afternoon, jobs that have needed completing; posting off some rugby shirts, registering for online patient access at the GP, finishing the Sustainable Railway draft, buying tickets for Brogdale’s Apple weekend and so on.

Susan has been to her first face to face guitar lesson tonight and I’ve been bashing the old Uke practicing songs old and new.

Pleased many of you liked the Punting on the Stour at Canterbury blip yesterday
