70.2 percent of those aged 12 and over, are now fully vaccinated in Finland. The government has set 80 percent coverage among this group as a prerequisite for dropping all restrictions, and said it hopes this can be achieved by the end of October. Nearly 84 percent of those aged 12 and over have received at least one jab.

The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare has further relaxed recommendations to use face coverings to emphasise differing risk levels and individuals' own judgement. Many restaurant restrictions will be lifted.
