Waterlily

Our new waterlily has left it very late in the year to put up its first bud.  I hope we get to see what colour it is.  I was equally fascinated by the water boatmen (extra) which skate along the water and demonstrate its surface tension with the small depressions made by their legs.  They eat algae.
