Bathampton Tollbridge

The Bathampton tollbridge today in the early evening sunshine. The bridge crosses the River Avon and connects Bathampton and Batheaston on the outskirts of Bath. It was built in 1872 and is grade 2 listed. Although only single lane it is currently seeing increased use due to the temporary closure of Cleveland bridge in the city centre - a further contribution to Bath’s already chronic traffic congestion problems!
