TOOTHPICK HOLDER IN POLIKWANE'S AIRPORT RESTAURANT

This was one of the ultra kitsch touches in the airport restaurant in Polikwane, created specially for the World Cup in 2010. The airport is used mostly by affluent and successful black commuters to Jo'burg and the whole place was decorated to suit them ..but was the designer right to think that this was what would have pleased them ?
