UNEXPECTED

I was surprised to see this Red Admiral in the pouring rain and lashing wind as I walked back through the chilly cemetery at lunchtime. It just shows what an important food source the ivy flowers are at this time of year.

I was coming back from my flu jab, at which they gave me an appointment for my Covid booster, late next month. Mum had her flu jab down in Farnham this morning, so I phoned her for a chat later on. I usually get side effects for a day or two, she usually doesn't. I bought a cake on the way home, just in case I need some extra "medicine" later on.
