From here to there...

Woke up in Keswick.
Exchanged cards, 22 years together.
Another Wedding Anniversary.

Last night we drank, ate fine food, laughed, and drank a bit more. Well paddleboarding was cancelled...

After a hotel breakfast, off to go home, via a place or too. Should we have charged the giant battery that we call 'car'? We'll see.

Through the rain, towards Penrith. Blencathra had its hat on. Down the M6 but then to Kirkby Lonsdale, to call in on friends away for their birthday. Yes, 22 years ago they both had a cracking 30th...at our wedding.

Suprise delivered.

Stayed just long enough for Matt to drop his phone down the toilet, he's always value...

Then, to Bradford, for a bonus away day to watch the football. Planning to charge up on the way. 1st charger...not working, so onward to Skipton, 2nd charger...only working on a slow charge. 6hrs and we'll be good but the match will be missed.

Press on to Bradford, more rain, terrible traffic, then running out of juice. Find a 3rd charger at Tescos, all 4 bays with cars plugged in...probably at the match. Bugger. 15 miles left.

As luck had it found one at the next car park, Smyths Toys. Plug in, then a walk to the ground. Will it work?

Missed the first half, but saw us miss 3 chances in the second and lose 2 nil. Mrs B entertained by the 4 guys behind with their colourful language, they were funny too.

Then back to the car....yay, 200 miles available! Call our son in Leeds who's not feeling well, pick him up, and finally head home.

Of course a crash on the M62 near the farm just added another 30 mins to the journey but home safe and sound.
