Glory, glory to South Sydney...

... sung to the tune of The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

It's Grand final night. Go the mighty Bunnies! The South Sydney Rabbitohs are a founding member team of the NSW Rugby League, since 1908. I like them because they have a high proportion of Aboriginal players, they are a true community team and they undertake mentoring and support for the local youth. We live in the Bunnies' heartland and I taught in it too.

The team colours are red and green, the cardinal and the myrtle. My main shows the Aboriginal flag flying on the Aboriginal Medical Service and a special flag with a rabbit in place of the sun.

The extra is a collage showing some red and green bunting, and some fans. I hope the facial expression of the person in the middle is not a portent.

Both shots taken on a walk around Redfern this morning. Wish us luck and stay well.
