At last!

A mammal!!! It seems like an absolute age since I've photographed a mammal - feels like it has all been birds recently.

So just for a change here is a young red deer stag for your pleasure :)

PS There was sad news today as I found one of the 2 kits I had photographed a couple of weeks ago, recently dead by the side of the path. No obvious sign of injury and seemed to be in good condition so no idea why it happened. Put a downer on the morning.
