Red hot pokers

I went to Hilliers Gardens with my friend Pauline today, we managed a long walk and to dodge the showers. Luckily we left just in time before a heavy downpour. These red hot pokers (I think they’re called kniphofia) looked amazing in the autumn sunshine. We were pleased to see also the pigs were in residence. They use them to clear the ground in the woods, they seemed pleased to see us.
