Made in China

No sooner have they finished, to great fanfares, the Moray East windfarm, than this lot appears. The Moray East components were made in Dubai, but this ship is the Zhi Yuan Kou from China, and the yellow jackets are made in Zhuhai. Can Britain now manufacture nothing? Nothing at all?

But I  forgot. UK policy has been to buy everything in since the eighties.

Meanwhile, as it gets harder to get anything delivered anywhere, I offer you as an extra the front cover of last week's The New European, a journal of jolly high quality which I commend as a good use of your pocket money. If you're interested in culture, languages, civilisation, that sort of thing.
