Shelled chick peas

There are two main types of chickpea: the larger Kabuli and the smaller Desi chickpea. The ones we planted are the Desi chickpeas. It took a lot of manual labor to open each 1/2 inch pod and release the one or 2 small seeds inside.
The seeds are now dried and vacuum packed, see extra photo. Looking forward to eating hummus made from these seeds sometime this winter.
We will not be planting these again.
