Steller's Jay

Sunday's blip, backblipped on Monday
 
This beauty visited our yard Sunday afternoon.  We've had a lot of Blue Jays recently but I heard this guy squawking and knew it was a different bird.  I grabbed my camera and managed one shot before he flew off.  They are common in the mountains but pretty rare down here.  I had one visit a few years ago and this one today.  I put out some peanuts to try to lure him back but it hasn't worked yet.  

I am grateful that I was able to get a shot, especially because I didn't want to blip flowers again.  Then I had a Zoom meeting and dinner and never got around to posting it.
