Beacon

What a day! The best forecast-wise for the week so we set out towards Baltimore first stopping at Lough Hyne for a wander. It was looking sensational, all glistening colours and clarity. This is an inland lake but it's tidal and renowned for its ecology. Two holy wells were visited then we just had to have a swim - lots of people were already doing the same. It was a first for me and utterly blissful and not quite as cold as I was expecting.
Then we went on to Baltimore, toasted sandwiches in the pub and then on to the Beacon, also known as Lot's Wife, one  f many warning systems put in place after the Rebellion of 1798. A stiff climb upwards and I accidentally clung onto a wire which happened to be electric - yikes! The view were mighty - more shimmers and sparkles.
Seriously wrecked now, we are continuing our Leonardo DiCaprio fest - last night was the Titanic (some dodgy lines but the film making remains incredibly impressive) - it might be The Departed or Wolf of Wall Street or something else altogether.
