More tree work

Today Tim has been doing ‘reduction pruning’ on some elm trees, to let in more sunlight to our neighbour’s house. There could hardly be more of a contrast between the long hand saw he is using, at least three times his height, and the rugged equipment that took down the huge gum tree a few weeks ago, leaving this massive stump.
 
The chipper munches up everything with equal ease.
 
Last day of the Bird count. Votes have gone dark so we don’t know who is in the lead. The winner will be announced tomorrow….
