Life in Burradoo, NSW

Crook chook?

I don't often see birds sitting down. When I noticed this magpie in our garden this morning I wondered if it wasn't feeling well. However it soon got up and wobbled away.

There are now only 10 contestants left in the Australian Bird of the Year competition. The winner will be announced tomorrow.
The final ten, out of the original 50, which have survived are,

Magpie
Tawny frogmouth
Brush Turkey
Superb Fairywren
Regent Honeyeater
Gang Gang Cckatoo
Galah
Kookaburra
Gouldian Finch
Peregrine Falcon.

We will know the result tomorrow.
