Inside the Longbarrow at Avebury

Long walk today with a friend around Silbury Hill, the Longbarrow, Ridgeway and back through the stone avenue, 4 hours, so I must be doing ok!  Thanks for all your lovely comments and concern.
We managed to visit the manor house too and inside the dining room with its marvellous hand painted Chinese wallpaper was an 'exercise horse',demonstrated in the extras by a volunteer.  When  it was too wet or snowy to go out on a horse the disappointed rider sat in the chair and bounced up and down on the concertina base till they were tired.  It was a first for me
